HISTORIC JOINT STAKEHOLDERS BOARD MEETING
Boards of directors of eight community-based organizations met on November 13, 2002, and voted to establish a coalition. Follow-on meetings have been held, and tasks assigned.
The purpose is to link arms and assist each other in communications and strategies toward combating actions by GBRA that may destroy the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake environments, diminish property values, and ruin local businesses.
These organizations include the Guadalupe River Association (www.guadaluperiver.org), the Northwest Comal County Environmental Coalition (www.geocities.com/nccec), Friends of Canyon Lake (www.friendsofcanyonlake.com), the San Marcos River Foundation (www.sanmarcosriver.com), the Lake Dunlap Association, the DeWitt-Gonzales River association, Texas Rivers Protection Association (down-river.org/trpa/), and the American Rivers Organization (www.amrivers.org)
