Our Mission:
To preserve the economy, our qualify of life and recreational opportunities
at Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe river.

Our Immediate Goal:
To get the GBRA Amendment denied, withdrawn, or delayed, pending completion
of a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Our Message

• TNRCC (now known as TCEQ) failed to provide adequate notice to impacted parties by not placing legal notices for legal comment in the Canyon Lake Times and Times-Guardian newspapers.
   
• TNRCC (now known as TCEQ) inappropriately dismissed the public comments that were filed within the required time frame, and failed to accept petitions with about 8,000 signatures.
   
• Only superficial hydrology-related issues have been addressed by the GBRA. The general public and government agencies are unaware of the impact of other major issues that have been ignored.
   
• Many affected constituencies are unaware of what will happen if the lake level drops.
   
• GBRA’s amendment request should be denied or delayed until a full Environmental Impact Statement is completed and affected constituencies have full and complete information.
